Robert Purcell: A Journey from Samoa to Sharing Hawaii's Beauty

Born in the lush landscapes of Samoa in 1972, Robert Purcell's life has been a tapestry of vibrant memories, significant milestones, and a deep connection to his roots. At the tender age of four, he embarked on a journey with his parents, moving from Samoa to the bustling island of Oahu, Hawaii. The summer of 1977 marked the beginning of his life in the USA, a transition through which he would experience the harmonious blend of Samoan and Hawaiian cultures.

Robert immersed himself in the island's spirit, completing his grade school and junior high in Waipahu, he soon found himself setting out for new adventures in California by the summer of 1986. The mainland USA, particularly California, played a pivotal role in shaping Robert's formative years. It was here that he completed his higher education, forged lasting friendships, and most importantly, met his life partner, Jane.

After spending a quarter of a century in the mainland USA, Robert made the heartfelt decision to return to Hawaii. Reconnecting with his childhood roots was not just a personal endeavor; he was driven by a passionate desire to share the essence of Hawaii with others.

This dream materialized into "Uncle Rob's Tours." 

Uncle Rob's Tours offers travelers an authentic Hawaiian experience with group tours and private tours. Through this venture, Robert continues to celebrate and share the magic, beauty, and spirit of the islands that have shaped his life's journey.

Raul Marin: A Journey Across Continents and Cultures

Raul Marin, a dynamic individual with a deep passion for travel and exploration, was born in the vibrant country of Chile. His childhood was enveloped in the diverse landscapes and cultures of Ecuador, shaping his perspectives and fueling his passion for the tourism industry.

Raul's academic journey led him to acquire a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management, a field where he merged his love for exploration with professional acumen. His career map is as diverse as his background, having delved into various facets of the tourism and hospitality sector. Raul’s professional journey spanned across continents, with experiences ranging from working with airlines in Chile to exploring the hotel industry in the picturesque landscapes of New Zealand. He further enriched the tourism sphere with his contributions to tour operators in the beautiful islands of Hawaii.

Raul is fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, utilizing his multilingual abilities to bridge cultures and create enriching experiences for travelers. Since 2011, he has called Hawaii his home, immersing himself in the aloha spirit and the vibrant tapestry of cultures that the islands offer.

Raul shares his life with his life partner Phillippine, building memories and exploring life’s adventures together. They are proud parents to a furry companion, a dog named Luna. The family of three shares a mutual love for the ocean, finding joy and tranquility in the rhythmic dance of the waves. Surfing is not just a sport for them but a cherished ritual, a time to connect with nature and each other.

Raul continues to live his passion every day in the paradise he calls home.
